of stomach, the grooves between
the folds appear as dark striations
2 = Fundus of stomach with air bubble
3 = Body of stomach
3a = Lesser curvature
3b = Greater curvature.
In the linings of the latter, notches
corresponding to the contour
of the mucous are visible
4 = Peristaltic constriction at
the angular notch
5 = Pyloric part prior to the progression of
a portion of the stomach’s content
6 = Ampulla of duodenum
7 = Descending part of the duodenum
with circular folds
8 = Jejunum
9 = Left “dome” of diaphragm

= Left colic flexure (filled with air)
